Best players available Steelers should target on Day 2: O’Cyrus Torrence, G, Florida

If the Steelers want to get the running game going and ensure that Pickett doesn’t have to worry about an interior defensive lineman getting in his grill, then the Steelers need to continue to bring in some guards. Luckily for them, there were no interior offensive linemen selected, O’Cyrus Torrence being one of them.

At 6-foot-5 and 330 pounds, Torrence has shown to be a force inside at the line of scrimmage. According to Pro Football Focus, Torrence played 698 offensive snaps (343 run block, 355 pass block), allowing eight hurries, zero sacks and zero hits.

With the Steelers holding the 32nd and 49th picks, Torrence could be in play for the team. Depth at guard is never a bad thing.

Why not bring in some further defensive line help? The team does have Cam Heyward and Larry Ogunjobi at both defensive end spots. But, it wouldn’t hurt to bring in some help who could eventually jump in down the road. One of the best defensive ends available is Georgia Tech’s Keion White.

After playing for three years at Old Dominion, White transferred over to Georgia Tech. This past season, White recorded 54 total tackles (29 solo, 25 assisted), 14 tackles for loss and 7.5 sacks.

His athleticism should ensure that he will be off the board relatively early on Day 2. For Pittsburgh, it wouldn’t hurt to add some more talent to their defensive line.
