Early 2024 NFL Draft mock draft: Packers use Jets pick to finally draft WR in Round 1, Bills get Josh Allen another weapon

LSU. player. 49. 25. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. WR. Malik Nabers

Pick via Jets

It’s only fitting that the Packers would use the first-round pick coming to them from the Aaron Rodgers trade on a wide receiver for the first time in human history (or, you know, in many years).

While everyone was waiting to see Kayshon Boutte break out again at LSU this past year, it was actually Malik Nabers who did so. The speedy wideout isn’t short on size either, but he shines the most after the catch. Adding this type of weapon to Christian Watson, Jayden Reed, Luke Musgrave and Tucker Kraft — maybe Romeo Doubs too — would be a perfect situation to cultivate Jordan Love’s development.

Chop Robinson. 50. Pick Analysis. EDGE. Penn State. 26. player. Scouting Report

A transfer from Maryland, Chop Robinson was downright dominant on the edge this past season and is going to be a headliner on a Penn State defense that could be one of the best in the country in the 2023 college football season. Robinson is a menace getting after the passer and could put up monster numbers this year.

The Lions made a ton of win-now moves in the 2023 draft, to the chagrin of many. They still need to keep replenishing the trenches on defense, though, and Robinson would be a great complement opposite another former Big Ten star, Aidan Hutchinson.

Alabama. Malachi Moore. CB. 27. player. 52. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

Malachi Moore’s decision to return to Alabama for the 2023 season was a wise one. He rotated around to different positions in the secondary amid a talented group. Now he should have a more defined role that should allow him to highlight his strengths and, more importantly, pair that with the versatility of having moved around.

The Jaguars are an ascending team but the secondary remains problematic in terms of top-end talent, especially if they don’t start getting more from Tyson Campbell.

Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Washington. player. 16. WR. Romeo Ounze. 28

Hats off to the Bills for recognizing the fact that the offense needs more juice by moving up for Dalton Kincaid this year. But now it’s time to forget trying to make Gabriel Davis a thing and to grab a true WR2 opposite Stefon Diggs.

Romeo Ounze is a monster that feasted on single coverage this past season, putting up big numbers in the prolific Washington offense. He’s a big target with juice and real ball skills that should be great as an option to take attention away from Diggs.
