One month in, and the Atlanta Braves have already won the Sean Murphy trade

With the personality of a potato, Sean Murphy is always there for us when we need him the most. This spud is an absolute stud. He is so unintentionally diverse in his offerings; he has no idea! Whether he is digging the long ball, calling a game behind the dish or serving up something extra spicy with that rocket right arm of his, one thing is clear: The Braves won the Sean Murphy trade.

It is not just his versatility that has made Murphy a fast fan favorite for Braves Country. When Rougned Odor gave Travis d’Arnaud a forearm shiver to the freaking dome bro, Murphy has been tasked with an even bigger workload behind the plate. Yes, he has been relieved at times by one Chadwick Tromp, but there is a reason why Atlanta can remain cautious in getting d’Arnaud back.

In all honesty, the Braves are so freaking good because they trade nickels to the Oakland Athletics for their two best players in back-to-back offseasons. The wins the A’s could have had are now propelling the Braves to the very top of the MLB hierarchy. Hopefully, d’Arnaud can return sooner rather than later, but for now, the Braves have arguably the best catcher in baseball with Murphy.

Mike Trout personality or not, I would much rather let Murphy’s play do the talking for him anyway.
