NBA Mock Draft: Who each lottery team should take with the No. 2 pick
By Ian Levy
The Indiana Pacers have their point guard of the future in Tyrese Haliburton and already a solid guard rotation around him with Buddy Hield, Andrew Nembhard and Bennedict Mathurin. They also inked Myles Turner to an extension helping to anchor their frontcourt. What they desperately need are some long-term pieces to plug in at the 3 and 4. Defense is extremely important and if the Pacers didn’t jump into this range, players like Cam Whitmore, Jarace Walker or Taylor Hendricks would be great fits.
But at No. 2, the Pacers would have to prioritize offense if they want to fill those roles. Miller is a phenomenal outside shooter and would help space the floor around Haliburton and Mathurin. He would benefit from their playmaking and sharing creation responsibilities will lower the expectations for him as a rookie and help him grow at his own pace.
