Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant was caught with a gun in another Instagram live video. Social media had fun at his expense.

There’s nothing funny about gun use in America. It’s an epidemic, and firearms are far too easy to buy in this country.

As for Ja Morant — the Grizzlies guard isn’t even using said guns, as far as we know. Morant has made two cameos on social media with said guns, even now after he was suspended eight games by the NBA. On Sunday, a video emerged of Morant in the passenger seat of a car with what looked to be a pistol.

Morant, who previously apologized for a similar issue in March, was suspended from all Grizzlies basketball activities pending an investigation by the NBA.

"“I take full responsibility for my actions last night,” Morant said at the time. “I’m sorry to my family, teammates, coaches, fans, partners, the city of Memphis and the entire Grizzlies organization for letting you down. I’m going to take some time away to get help and work on learning better methods of dealing with stress and my overall well-being.”"

Yeah, about that. Ja is one of the most talented players in the NBA. If he keeps his head on straight and gets out of his own way, he’ll receive generational wealth and then some. The only person stopping Ja Morant…is Ja Morant.

Typically, this wouldn’t warrant much of a social media reaction, but given Morant has made the same mistake twice, he was bound to receive some sort of backlash.

There were many more where those came from.

Morant’s statement suggested he was ready to move on and focus on basketball. He did that, but shortly after the Grizzlies were eliminated, he made the same mistake for a second time.

Hopefully he learns from this experience, once and for all.
