Best available NBA free agent shooting guards: 4. Josh Hart

Josh Hart was not expected to be one of the top free agents of his class going into the season. His fit with the New York Knicks and his strong defensive performance against the Cavs in the first round has heavily increased his value on the open market. It is widely expected that Hart will give New York first bidding when it comes to free agency.

Given recent reports and the fit he had in New York with his former college teammate, Jalen Brunson, New York is a heavy favorite to re-sign him. Still, Hart will likely opt out, explore free agency and seek a long-term deal. This could get very pricey and the Knicks could be priced out, even if both sides would prefer to run it back.
