Best available NBA free agent shooting guards: 3. Austin Reaves

Austin Reaves has made himself a lot of money in the last couple of weeks with his play, perhaps going from a $10 million player to a $15 million player. Reaves was a solid starter for the Lakers this season but in recent weeks he has been playing above-average basketball.

Reavs is a restricted free agent and the max that the Lakers can offer him is $61 million over four years due to the CBA. Still, the Lakers can match any offer that he gets and he could receive offers for as much as $20 million per year due to his strong play in the postseason.

If the Lakers are able to win a title, things are gonna get crazy expensive for a team that didn’t want to pay past a certain point in the luxury tax not too long ago. This would probably be the only reason that Reaves leaves the Lakers for another team.
