Early 53 man roster projections for the Steelers after the 2023 NFL Draft
By John Miceli
Steelers 53-man roster offensive linemen (9): Broderick Jones, Dan Moore, Isaac Seumalo, Kevin Dotson, Mason Cole, Spencer Anderson, James Daniels, Nate Herbig, Chukwuma Okorafor
After signing Isaac Seumalo and Nate Herbig and drafting Broderick Jones and Spencer Anderson this offseason, this unit will look the most different compared to last year.
The Steelers have put a lot of effort into rebuilding this offensive line and I think the team would prefer to carry a larger group of linemen into games with them this year to try to give players the opportunity to differentiate themselves and to provide depth in case of injuries or other contingencies.
I project the starters to be Jones at left tackle, Seumalo at left guard, Mason Cole at center, James Daniels at right guard, and Chukwuma Okorafor at right tackle. However, I think the Steelers would benefit from evaluating Dan Moore at right tackle during training camp because I think he would not only be an upgrade at the position but also because either trading or releasing Okafor would free up a considerable amount of cap space.
