Comeback keys for the Lakers: 1. The greatness of LeBron James

The only reason some people still believe in the Lakers is because they have LeBron James. A man who has seen himself with his back against the wall so many times and is able to overcome it time and time again. In 2016, LeBron and the Cavaliers did the impossible and became the first team ever to come back from being down 3-1 in the Finals.

In the Western Conference Finals, LeBron is currently averaging 23.7 points, 9.3 rebounds, 10.7 assists on 48 percent from the field and a horrendous 16 percent from 3. In order for LeBron to be successful, he has to keep attacking the basket. The Nuggets have struggled all series with keeping him from scoring at will near the rim. When he shoots 1 for 7 from 3, you’re hurting your team and blessing the Nuggets.

LeBron needs and has to summon it up for these next four games to give the Lakers a chance. It will be hard given his foot injury and his advanced age at 38 years old but, earlier this season LeBron did go on a stretch from his birthday to breaking the scoring title where he went on a scoring rampage. Don’t be surprised if he is able to find it deep within himself and completely take over this series.

When you are down 0-3 in a series, the only thing you can really do is pray for a miracle but when you know you have LeBron James, there’s always a chance.
