New York Yankees progress report: B

The Yankees are on a blazing hot streak, going 8-2 in their last 10, and winning 12 of their last 17 games with no off days sprinkled in after ending April at the .500 mark. In the last 15 days, the Yankees are leading the league in home runs and are top-3 in slugging, OPS and hits. They are doing what they do best — hitting the ball far. As we all know, when the Yankees do that, they are lethal. That is how they get to the top of the total runs score leaderboard for the last 15 days.

They’ve maintained a solid 3.68 ERA on top of that and racked up 116 strikeouts in the last 15 days (fifth best). As a staff, they have allowed 16 home runs in 15 games, but that’s where most of the run production against them has always come from, which makes sense considering Yankee Stadium plays well for pull-happy power hitters.

As players like Luis Severino, Giancarlo Stanton, Carlos Rodon and more return from the IL, the numbers will begin to even out as they already have shown. As loyal Yankees fans say every year, they will win if they can just stay healthy.
