Lynx vs. Wings prediction and odds for WNBA Commissioner’s Cup
By Peter Dewey
The Minnesota Lynx are still in search of their first win of the 2022-23 season when they travel to Dallas to take on Arike Ogunbowale and the Dallas Wings on Tuesday night.
Ogunbowale is off to an insane start this season, averaging 26.7 points per game in three matchups. Her teammate, Satou Sabally is also putting up big numbers, averaging 22.0 points per game while shooting 51.2 percent from the field and 41.7 percent from beyond the arc.
That’s a lot of offense, and the Lynx don’t have much to compete with it. Minnesota is 0-4 with the league’s No. 10 offense, No. 11 defensive rating and No. 11 net rating.
Yet, the Wings are favored by just six at home in this game?
Let’s dive into the latest odds and my best bet:
Lynx vs. Wings odds, spread and total
Lynx vs. Wings prediction and pick
The Wings are down a few players in this game, but I have to back them at this number against a Lynx team that has yet to keep a game within six points all season.
Minnesota’s offense is going to be a major issue, as the team is shooting just 26.5 percent from beyond the arc on the season.
That isn’t going to cut it against a Dallas team that ranks No. 2 in the WNBA in offensive rating through its first three games of the 2023 season.
Ogunbowale is one of the best players in the league, and even though the team lost its last game, Dallas won at home in its season opener by seven points against Atlanta.
This is important because the Lynx are 0-2 on the road, losing by nine to Phoenix and 21 to Las Vegas in those games.
I’ll lay the points with a much more talented Dallas team on Tuesday night.
