NHL reporter gives fan an epic stiff arm for trying to get in her camera shot

Reporter Samantha Rivera gave a Vegas Golden Knights fan a hard stiff arm for trying to get in her camera shot.

Just because you’re excited about your team doesn’t mean you can ruin someone else’s work day. Samantha Rivera didn’t let an NHL fan in Las Vegas ruin hers, but they sure did try!

Rivera, who works for CBS Miami, Tweeted out a video of a Golden Knights fan who tried to get in her camera shot on the night the Knights went up 2-0 over the Florida Panthers in the Stanley Cup Finals. Vegas had just won the game, and the fan was trying to get his screen time and celebrate.

That’s all well and good, but there’s a huge difference between getting in the background of a camera shot and cutting right in front of a reporter trying to do her work.

Rivera had this to say in her Tweet:

"Listen, I don’t give a damn what team you’re rooting for – get the hell out of my face when I’m working and respect that I’m here to do my job.Excited to get back home to some classy #Panthers fans for game 3!!"

Mid-reporting, she tells the fan, “Nope! Nope!” and pushes him off while keeping the mic in-hand and continuing to report live to CBS Miami. That’s some impressive multitasking under duress. Pure instincts, they don’t teach that one in J-school.

Golden Knights take a 2-0 lead, but series heads back to Florida

The Knights took a 2-0 lead with a 5-2 win over the Panthers on Tuesday night, but the series will head back to South Florida for two games at home for the Panthers now. Vegas has held Florida to just two goals in each of the first two games of the series so far.

Fans should be well warned by now… No reason at all to mess with Samantha Rivera. Stay out of her shot!
