Is Tyler Herro playing tonight? Latest injury update for Heat vs. Nuggets, Game 5
Will Tyler Herro play for Game 5 of this series or will the Nuggets have a chance to avoid Herro entirely on their way to winning a title?
It was rumored that Herro would return in Game 3 of the NBA Finals, after a broken hand suffered during the first game of the first round of the playoffs, against the Milwaukee Bucks. Herro may have suffered a setback as he was suffering from soreness after Game 2. It seems like this was a reason that he was unable to his target date for his return from injury.
According to the official NBA injury report, Tyler Herro is listed out for Game 5 of this series. With the Heat on their last chance and summer break looming for everyone in the NBA, Herro’s continued absence is huge.
Can the Miami Heat win Game 5 without Tyler Herro?
The rest of the roster except for Victor Oladipo should be good to go for tonight’s game. The Heat will need health and luck if they want to beat a Denver team who is been able to dominate them. The Heat will need to shoot again as they did in Game 2otherwise, it may be time to go fishing for Miami.
The Heat role players who were so key in helping them reach the Finals — Gabe Vincent, Max Strus and Caleb Martin have all struggled against Denver. Strus has only made 5-of-26 from beyond the arc in the Finals. Martin missed a game with an illness and is only shooting 6-of-20 from inside the arc. Vincent has been making his 3s but has struggled to create off the dribble create open shots for his teammates.
All will need to bounce back in Game 5 if they’re going to extend the series.
