Atlanta Braves fans are hoping for the best when it comes to Marcell Ozuna’s wrist injury.

To add insult to injury, the Atlanta Braves lost Marcell Ozuna midway through a game they should have won vs. a terrible team in the Detroit Tigers on Monday night.

Ozuna was hit by a pitch in his forearm and wrist region roughly halfway through the game last night. While he tried to battle through it and did run on the base paths, he had to be removed from the game in favor of Travis d’Arnaud in the DH spot. Ozuna had X-rays on his hurt wrist, but they came back negative. He is listed as day-to-day with a right wrist contusion. We must wait and see.

Here are the latest and greatest, most important rumors surrounding the only team that matters.

Atlanta Braves rumors: How is the only team that matters doing in All-Star voting?

The first wave of MLB All-Star voting came out on Monday afternoon. While it came as a shock to absolutely no one that NL MVP frontrunner Ronald Acuña Jr. was the leading vote getting in the Senior Circuit, La Bestia was joined by a pair of Atlanta teammates on pace to start for their league. That would be newly-acquired backstop Sean Murphy and … our shortstop, Orlando Arcia.

Acuña is the only player in baseball with over one million votes thus far. Although he, Arcia and Murphy are certainly getting the Braves Country bump at the ballot box, it wouldn’t be shocking at this point to see two, maybe even all three, get to Seattle. Murphy has been sensational in his first season coming over from Oakland. Arcia has made Braves Country forget about Dansby Swanson.

With the Braves leading the NL East and being one of the most popular teams in the sport, we are probably looking at anywhere around four or five players from this year’s squad getting to Seattle. Keep an eye on other key performers from this year’s team like Ozzie Albies, Jesse Chavez, Bryce Elder and Spencer Strider making it to the Midsummer Classic. Atlanta will be well-represented.

Acuña is a lock at this point, but the cases for Arcia and Murphy are stronger than you would think.
