The St. Louis Cardinals should trade for Shane Bieber

The Cardinals should be very active in the pitching market at the trade deadline. Bieber will likely be a target for the Cardinals.

The Cardinals are in desperate need of pitching. This is the final season for Adam Wainwright. Jack Flaherty and Jordan Montgomery are each free agents after this season and it’s uncertain if either or will sign with the team. Miles Mikolas is signed through 2025. Steven Matz is signed through 2026, but has been moved the the bullpen. The organization has several pitching prospects in the trenchs, developing. Matthew Liberatore is one of those prospects. He has been a recent addition to the rotation.

Bieber would bring stability to a rotation in desperate need of help.
