The trade market for O.G. Anunoby is ramping up again ahead of the NBA Draft but two possible suitors are reportedly in the market with a dark horse looming.

O.G. Anunoby is one of the best 3-and-D wings in the NBA right now. He’s also perhaps the best trade asset that the Toronto Raptors have that they’d even conceivably be willing to part with.

According to Michael Scotto of Hoops Hype, there are multiple teams interested in an Anunoby trade with the Pacers and Kings being the most heavily involved in any early discussions. However, they aren’t the only team interested.

Scotto also reported that the Memphis Grizzlies, recently rocked by the 25-game suspension handed down to Ja Morant, are “dangling” multiple first-round picks, similar to the offer they could’ve put together for Mikal Bridges at the trade deadline this past season.

Both Memphis and Sacramento could require a player of Anunoby’s caliber and skill set to get over the hump in the Western Conference. While Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets are champions, the West will also still have to go through Kevin Durant and LeBron James too, which will require a 3-and-D type player to combat the superstars on opposing teams.

NBA Rumors: O.G. Anunoby trade garnering heavy interest

With the way the league is in 2023, O.G. Anunoby’s skillset is highly valuable. He has a player option after this season that he will most likely decline. With that in mind, teams are smelling blood in the water that the Raptors could look to recoup some value this offseason and, as such, are expressing interest in an Anunoby trade.

In the case of Toronto, it remains to be seen what the plan is moving forward, whether they will rebuild or retool. They made a move for Jakob Poeltl at the deadline that sent a Top 6 protected 2024 first-round pick to San Antonio.

If the Raptors do choose to rebuild this offseason, though, they will certainly be able to get a number of high-value assets in return, particularly if they trade Anunoby.
