For the first time this season, the two top teams in the WNBA face off in Las Vegas.

The New York Liberty and Breanna Stewart are in town to take on A’ja Wilson, Kelsey Plum and the 13-1 Las Vegas Aces on Thursday night.

Las Vegas enters this game on a six-game winning streak, and the team has flat out dominated all season long – posting a +19.2 net rating.

New York, fresh off a road win against the No. 2 seed Connecticut Sun, is starting to gel with its new superstar group of Stewart, Sabrina Ionescu, Courtney Vandersloot and Jonquel Jones. The Liberty enter this game on a four-game winning streak.

Las Vegas has gone 7-0 at home, winning six of those games by 13 or more points. Can the Aces stay hot against arguably the toughest opponent they’ll face all season?

This may seem a little crazy, but I think the Liberty are the bet to make in this game.

New York is starting to gel after a bit of a slow start to the 2023 season, and it was only a matter of time before the team started playing at a high level.

The Liberty are second in the WNBA in offensive and net rating behind the Aces, and they rank first in the league in 3-point percentage.

I’ve been particularly impressed with the team’s recent stretch, blowing out Atlanta and Phoenix before taking down the next two best teams in the East in Washington and Connecticut.

There’s no doubt that the Aces are the best team in the league right now, but I think this game can be closer than six points.

The Liberty have similar top line talent, and I think their shooting could be the great equalizer, especially on the road.

Game odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.
