A day after nabbing five-star recruit Justin Scott, the Buckeyes have another young football talent in their sights: Dylan Stewart.

The Ohio State Buckeyes are making moves this summer. Shortly after they landed five-star defensive lineman Justin Scott, the school is reportedly the favorite to get edge-rusher Dylan Stewart.

Stewart, who currently attends Friendship Collegiate Academy in Washington D.C., narrowed his list down to five schools: Georgia, Maryland, Miami, South Carolina, and OSU. According to one updated metric, the Buckeyes have a 51.6 percent chance of recruiting Stewart for the upcoming season.

Fellow five-star recruit Justin Scott shocked the collegiate world when he chose Ohio State over the likes of Michigan and Miami, especially since he publicly named Miami as his top choice a few months prior.

Scott joining the Buckeyes may end up swaying Stewart’s decision in joining the Big Ten program — Scott and Stewart? What a dynamic defensive duo that would be.

One huge advantage the Buckeyes have is defensive line coach Larry Johnson, who has seen Chase Young and the Bosa brothers rise up through the ranks and enjoy successful NFL careers thus far.

Stewart made an unofficial visit to Ohio State in late March, and the noise surrounding his ultimate decision is only getting louder. The 6-foot-5, 240-pounder boasts elite measurables across the board and is coming off a tremendous junior season that has helped buoy his recruiting stock.

The pass-rusher has complemented the Buckeyes’ football program in the past, but any of the schools on his list could still make a go for him. Georgia should never be counted out, especially if Stewart has an affinity for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Whatever school he ends up choosing, Stewart is primed to make an impact right out of the gate. The pendulum is swinging toward the Buckeyes for now…
