After two years of injury struggles, Saquon Barkley played 16 games last season, rushing for 1,312 yards and 10 touchdowns. Behind the star running back, the Giants ranked in the top five in both rushing yards (2,519) and yards per carry (4.8).

Furthermore, the Giants have an underrated rushing threat in quarterback Daniel Jones a.k.a. “Vanilla Vick” (as dubbed by Barkley):

In 2022, Jones rushed for 708 yards (20th-most all-time by a quarterback in a single season) and seven touchdowns (fourth-most among quarterbacks). This was not the first time that Jones has made the record books. In 2020, Jones broke out an 80-yard rush against the Eagles; it was tied for the fourth-longest run by a quarterback in NFL history.

Jones ran a 4.67-second 40-yard dash at his Pro Day, so he does not have the top-level speed of Lamar Jackson or Justin Fields. However, the production speaks for itself. Opposing defenses need to be wary of “Vanilla Vick”.
