The 2023 MLB All-Star Game is held in Seattle, but where could the game be held in 2025? The league is reportedly considering four different cities.

As the MLB’s most talented players come together for a fun hit-around in the 2023 All-Star Game in Seattle, the league is already jumping ahead to the future.

Per recent reports, the MLB is considering four cities to potentially host the 2025 All-Star Game.

Whereas the West Coast dominated previous All-Star Games (Coors Field, Dodger Stadium, and now T-Mobile Park), the 2025 Midsummer Classic will most likely take place in a different U.S. region.

USA Today’s Bob Nightengale released the league’s shortlist for the 2025 All-Star Game, and it includes in no particular order: Atlanta, Baltimore, Toronto, and Chicago.

Out of those four options, Wrigley Field feels like the most iconic destination spot; the stadium hasn’t hosted an All-Star Game since 1990.

The host city for 2024 is already set: the newly renovated Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas will handle one of the league’s biggest marquee events of the year. In 2026, the All-Star Game will be held at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia (on the 250th birthday of the United States, no less).

So what about 2025?

As it stands, those four cities — Atlanta, Baltimore, Toronto, and Chicago — appear to be the last contenders standing for host duties.

Back in December, it was reported that the Boston Red Sox expressed interest in hosting the All-Star Game, but it doesn’t seem like the historic Fenway Park made the cut.

While Wrigley Field might pull at Chicago’s heartstrings, Truist Park in Atlanta may be the most controversial since the league moved the game from Atlanta to Colorado two years ago in response to Georgia’s political turmoil. At the time, MLB commissioner Rob Manfred believed the game would turn into a protesting spectacle and that some players might boycott the event.

By 2025, the political landscape of Atlanta would theoretically be more stable, so Truist Park may be seriously considered a viable candidate after all. Given how many Braves are in this year’s All-Star Game, maybe Atlanta does deserve it the most.
