Braves Outfielder Kevin Pillar may be replaced by a trade acquisition

Like the previous trades, this one could only happen if the Braves make corresponding moves. The Braves would be taking way too much of a risk in moving Kevin Pillar if they aren’t acquiring better players before or after the deal. But Atlanta has shown the eagerness to upgrade at almost all of the last few trade deadlines, so that trend will likely continue over to this season.

Pillar would be a perfect name to shop to a fellow contender in exchange for prospects. The outfielder is on the wrong side of his prime but has still shown the ability to contribute at a decently high level, shown by his .252/.284/.485 slash line across 43 games in 2023. This kind of production, paired with quality defense and experience could prove valuable to a contender,

That isn’t the case for Atlanta though, as their outfield is set in stone. They will also likely acquire platoon bats and bench bats that could slot into the outfield in place of what Pillar is doing now. His spot appears safe right now, but the Braves should at least consider the idea of testing the market to see what they can get in return for the veteran.
