Former Georgia quarterback Stetson Bennett is already making waves at Rams training camp, impressing coaches and observers alike.

NFL Draft coverage this year had a lot to say about Stetson Bennett.

The Georgia quarterback won national titles, but was generally disrespected in pro scouting. Some argued he wasn’t worth drafting and had been propped up by the Bulldogs football machine. His age came up constantly with his 26th birthday coming in October while top prospects like Bryce Young, CJ Stroud and Anthony Richardson were all 21 on draft day.

Despite the doubters shouting loudly, Bennett heard his name called in the fourth round. It was the Rams taking a chance on the former walk-on. And it already looks like that faith is paying off.

Bennett is apparently turning heads at Rams training camp, video of a particularly sweet ball to Puka Nacua proving it.

Stetson Bennett already impressing at Rams training camp

Georgia fans got used to seeing Bennett hit those kinds of passes on Saturdays. Now Rams fans can look forward to them on Sundays.

Obviously, training camp plays aren’t everything. No one will know what Bennett’s NFL floor or ceiling is until he sees real snaps. Still, it’s a bright start to be impressing at his first camp. Adjusting to the NFL isn’t easy and it looks like he’s on his way.

In a few weeks, fans will get to see what Bennet has during the NFL preseason. Even though he figures to be the backup to Matt Stafford, he could even see action as a rookie. The Rams will want him to be up to speed and ready if called upon.

Six quarterbacks were selected ahead of Bennett. He’s hoping to make those teams look silly for choosing others instead of him.
