UPDATE: Corey Knebel, not Julio Urias, will start Game 5 for the Los Angeles Dodgers. It's possible that Urias will be on the mound at some point in the game, but he will not start as previously expected.

What follows are three prop bets that we had our eyes on prior to Urias being scratched as the starter.

The San Francisco Giants will host the Los Angeles Dodgers in a battle of two 100-win teams tonight in Game 5 of the NLDS. Los Angeles will send Corey Knebel to the mound over Julio Urias on short rest after a strong performance in Game 2 while the Giants send Game 1 starter Logan Webb back out there to close out the series.

Webb tossed 7.2 scoreless innings in a Game 1 win, and the Giants have shut the Dodgers out twice in this series. However, in Los Angeles’ two wins, the team has put up 16 runs.

WynnBET Sportsbook has San Francisco as a slight favorite at home (-106) against the Dodgers (-102) with the total set at just 6.5 runs (Over -125/Under +105).

We have a full betting preview, bold predictions and some insight into why I’m backing Logan Webb tonight, but what about prop bets?

Here are three that I have my eye on in Game 5:

Logan Webb OVER 5.5 Strikeouts (+125)

Webb has been absolutely dominant at home this season, positing a 1.96 ERA and striking out 10.6 batters per nine innings on the year.

During the regular season he tallied 17 strikeouts in 16 innings against the Dodgers before putting up a 10-strikeout performance in Game 1. I’m surprised the over isn’t favored here, so I’ll gladly bet on Webb to continue to prove that he’s one of the better young pitchers in the game right now.

First Three Innings Total Runs UNDER 2.5 (-150)

I’ve already mentioned that the Dodgers have been shut out twice in this series, but the Giants offense hasn’t done much either.

San Francisco has yet to score more than four runs in a game in this series, and it put up just five runs over the past three games.

Webb and Urias (assuming he comes in relief) have both pitched well in the series, so I’m expecting a pitchers duel over the first few innings with both teams struggling to score. For what it’s worth, the under on this number has hit in three of the four games in the series.

Race to Two Runs -- Giants (+105)

Prior to the Dodgers' decision to start Knebel over Urias, I wouldn't have made this bet.

However, I'm not a fan of the Dodgers going to Knebel to switch the Dodgers lineup when you have a 20-game winner available to pitch. It's giving me shades of the New York Yankees deploying a similar strategy with J.A. Happ last season in the playoffs.

The Giants don't have to score early, they just have to get to two runs before the Dodgers. With Webb on the mound for San Francisco, I like its chances.
