Week 7 in the college football season is here, and there’s a new No. 1 in the Georgia Bulldogs after the Texas A&M Aggies upset the Alabama Crimson Tide in Week 6.

None of our BetSided editors were gutsy enough to pick that upset, and Week 6 was a relatively rough one, going 1-3 on our straight up picks, but Iain MacMillan and Reed Wallach were both on the Utah upset over USC. Our record is still 15-10 on the season, and there’s nothing like the next week to bounce back, right?

The FanSided College Football team made their upset picks for this week here.

Here are this week’s best upset picks in college football from BetSided with all odds via WynnBET Sportsbook:

College Football Upset Pick: Purdue (+400) Upsets Iowa

Iowa's lack of offensive output is going to catch up to them sooner or later, and I'm going to bet on it happening sooner. The Hawkeyes rank 114th in the country in yards per play at 4.5 while the Boilermakers rank 77th, averaging 5.3.

I know the Iowa defense is good, but if they have one off game, their dreams of an undefeated season will be over. Purdue's defense is also a pretty solid unit, ranking 28th in opponent yards per play at 4.8.

Huge let down spot for Iowa here. I think Purdue can pull off the upset. -- Iain MacMillan

College Football Upset Pick: UCLA Upsets Washington (+105)

This has been a down year for the Washington Huskies, as they’re only wins have come against Arkansas State and California, who are a combined 2-9 on the season.

UCLA has been much better, with wins over Stanford and LSU despite losing to Arizona State two weeks ago.

UCLA is averaging 6.5 yards per play this season, running for 224.5 yards per game. Washington’s defense isn’t great against the run (179.6 yards per game, 4.5 yards per carry) and I think the Bruins’ offense will exploit that on the road.

Unless Washington can find a way to stop the run, I don’t see it winning this game. The Bruins have been the better team all season, and I like them as a slight road dog in this matchup. -- Peter Dewey

College Football Upset Pick: BYU (+195) Upsets Baylor

I get it. BYU isn’t a Power 5 school and it got upset by Boise State, so everyone jumped off the bandwagon. Yet, the Cougars are going to beat Baylor this week. When BYU has been an underdog this season, it has won by at least two possessions in each.

Baylor’s offense is explosive, but the Cougars have a top 30 defense in the country (allowing 20.5 points per game). As long as BYU can keep Baylor from lighting up the scoreboard early, I’m taking the Cougars to get back on track. -- Donnavan Smoot

College Football Upset Pick: Tennessee (+130) Upsets Ole Miss

I hate picking against my guy Lane Kiffin and Heisman front-runner Matt Corral, but this is an ideal spot for the Vols to be in this week.

No. 13 Ole Miss needed a win after the drubbing against Alabama the week before, and pulled off a victory on the final play of the game against No. 12 Arkansas when they failed to convert on a two-point conversion to win outright with no time left on the clock. That’s a heck of an emotional roller coaster to come back from by going on the road in Neyland Stadium against another dangerous offensive team.

The total in this game is 83 at WynnBET, but like our Reed Wallach pointed out here in our BetSided betting preview, Tennessee’s defense is the far superior one in this matchup, ranking 23rd in S&P+ defensive rating compared to Ole Miss at 67.

Last week, Ole Miss had one crucial stop to win them the game. This time, it’s Tennessee’s turn. -- Ben Heisler

I wrote it up early in the week but this is a fantastic spot for Tennessee to get a much needed signature victory. At home with a total north of 80, I’ll side with Tennessee’s defense to get a few stops. While the Rebels play at a frenetic pace, the Vols are even faster, leading the country in plays per minute.

This is not going to be some sort of culture shock for UT, and they’ll take advantage of an Ole Miss team that is bottom 10 in the country in penalties per game. -- Reed Wallach
