It was all good just a week ago, or a month ago in this case.

The Indianapolis Colts stink. Not all of it is their fault, but we’re nearly a month into the NFL season and the Colts are one of five teams that have yet to win a game.

Indianapolis went into this season as the favorite to win the AFC South, with Carson Wentz expected to add a boost to their offense. Since then, Wentz has injured both of his ankles, Jonathan Taylor hasn’t broken out like many people thought he would and the offensive line is banged up. Now at 0-3, Colts fans might have to start looking towards next season.

WynnBET has moved the Colts’ win total projection to 7.0 games, with the over (-130) favoring the under (+110). The odds say the Colts can turn this around and be somewhere near a .500 team, but I don’t know if that’s possible. The Colts have had a rough three weeks to start the season. They’ve played the Rams, Seahawks and Titans -- all playoff teams from last year. However, to get to above seven wins they would have to go at least 8-7. While that isn’t an insane ask, it is lofty at this point.

The Colts also made news today by moving off of Marlon Mack. In 2020, Mack only played one game, leaving space for Nyheim Hines and Jonathan Taylor to grow in the offense. Mack’s departure isn’t a huge move on paper, but it does show the Colts are looking to shake their season up.

This week’s game against the Miami Dolphins is going to be critical. If the Colts go 0-4, your can toss eight wins out the window.
