For any game that the Dallas Cowboys play in this season, I’m going to bank on it being shootout.

The next team on the schedule for “America’s Team” is the Los Angeles Chargers, and I’m sure the points will be flying left and right.

As the points are rising, so will the yardage by the quarterbacks. Dak Prescott showed that he’s healthy and can throw the ball as many times as the Cowboys need him to. On the other side, Justin Herbert is just as deadly and can throw the ball with the best of them.

WynnBET has set their prop bets for passing yards high and close together, which suggests that the oddsmakers see a shootout coming as well. Prescott’s line is set at 306.5 yards (Over:-116/Under:-115), and Herbert’s is set at 302.5 (Over:-115/Under:-116).

Both of these quarterbacks can easily play themselves into the MVP conversation at any moment.

Even though I would side with the Chargers to win the game, I’m taking Dak Prescott to throw for more yards.

Ezekiel Elliott is bound to get more carries than he did in Week 1, but the Cowboys are going to be down in this game and will need to score fast. With DeMarcus Lawrence out, the defense is as vulnerable as it's ever been and Prescott is going to have to save them.

CeeDee Lamb and Amari Cooper also looked great in Week 1. If both of them are in sync, secondaries across the league need to watch out. Despite having two great receivers, Dallas should be in catchup mode, which will lead to Prescott trying to throw Dallas back into the game.
