The Denver Broncos are on the road in Week 1 against the New York Giants, but it seems that every trend imaginable is favoring Denver in this game.

The Broncos are three-point road favorites on WynnBET against the Giants, and via NFL.com, Denver has the best record in the NFL since 1970 in season openers on the road.

The Broncos have a .676 winning percentage in those games over the past 50 seasons, and they’re not being asked to do much in terms of covering at just three points.

To further that point, Denver’s quarterback Teddy Bridgewater has been the best quarterback in the NFL against the spread as a starter in his career. Bridgewater is an other-worldly 36-14 ATS as a starter, making him a bettor’s best friend during the NFL season.

I already took the Broncos as my best bet for this week, partially because of Bridgewater’s ATS prowess but also because the Giants have a lot of questions on their roster.

New York scored the second-fewest points in the NFL during the 2020 season, and star running back Saquon Barkley is questionable as he looks to make his return from an ACL injury.

Even if Barkley plays, it’s a lot to ask him to handle a full workload, which means Daniel Jones is going to have to do some things with his arm to keep the Giants in the game.

That’s concerning to say the least, as Jones threw 10 picks to just 11 scores in 14 games last season.

There’s a reason this is my best bet for Week 1, and I’d be surprised if the Broncos were unable to start the season 1-0 against a questionable Giants team.
