Move over Madden, there’s a new curse in town.

ESPN has been running a simulcast on several Monday Night Football games this season on ESPN2 that’s hosted by Peyton and Eli Manning. It’s instantly become a hit, and it serves as entertaining alternative to watching the game's normal broadcast. It’s especially good on nights where the matchup is lopsided, and the action is nonexistent.

There’s just one problem with it. The show has brought on a curse to any NFL player that makes an appearance on it.

Six NFL players have made a guest appearance on it, and all six of them went on to lose their next game. That’s not good news for Bills fans, as Josh Allen will be appearing on the Week 8 edition of the broadcast for the Giants and Chiefs game.

I’m not one to bet based on jinxes, curses, spells, or any other spooky magical trends, but this one I find enticing.

The Bills Are Massive Week 9 Favorites against the Jaguars

The Bills will hit the road in Week 9 to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars as 14-point favorites, so if Buffalo somehow loses that game, then it proves that the Manning curse is for real.

Before you say it's impossible for such a big favorite in the NFL to lose, don't forget that the Bengals just fell as 11-point favorites to the New York Jets in Week 8. Allen himself knows first hand that big underdogs can win games. Back in his first road start as an NFL quarterback in 2018, the Bills upset the Minnesota Vikings as 17-point underdogs.

It's unlikely, but it's something you may want to keep in mind before adding the Bills to your parlays and betting slips this coming weekend.
