The New Orleans Saints and Tennessee Titans destroyed many people’s NFL survivor pools this week after they were upset by the New York Giants and New York Jets.

However, if you’ve been following a few of our staff’s picks for last week, you’re still alive heading into Week 5.

Here’s how the BetSided team fared this past week:

NFL Week 4 Survivor Picks

NFL Week 5 Survivor Pick: New England Patriots

This could be a trap game for a Patriots team coming off one of their stronger performances of the year, a last-minute loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on an emotional night for a lot of people. Can they get back up for a road game against arguably the worst team in the NFL? I don't know. But I do know that defense travels well and the Pats have one of the best defenses in the NFL right now (sixth in points per game allowed, fifth in total yards per game allowed) and the Texans have one of the worst offenses.

The Patriots' offense, especially their rushing game, has been anemic, but nothing like a bottom-five defense to cure what ails you there. Mac Jones also just played his best game of the season, so there's some momentum for him coming into this game too.

I don't love that the Patriots are on the road coming off a Sunday night game and the Houston Texans just got absolutely bodied by the Bills. But this is the best spot on the board for me to try and survive and advance for another week. -- Brian Giuffra

We have reached the point of the season where we start to fade the Texans blindly. Houston got mauled by Buffalo 40-0 on the road this past Sunday and the Patriots played an emotional game against the Bucs and nearly won behind the fine play from Mac Jones.

I think Belichick can use that game as a rallying point moving forward, and the Patriots’ offensive game plan can open up a bit against a poor Houston defense after focusing on quick passing routes last Sunday night. I mean, it's the goat head coach against a completely outmanned roster that is starting Davis Mills. New England rolls. -- Reed Wallach

NFL Week 5 Survivor Pick: Tampa Bay Buccaneers

I've been saving the Buccaneers in my back pocket and with no other games on the board I love this week, it's time for me to use them. The Bucs are the largest favorite on the board at WynnBET, and they should have no trouble handling a Dolphins team that ranks 31st in points per game at 15.5. -- Iain MacMillan

NFL Week 5 Survivor Pick: Dallas Cowboys

I’m going to try to save the Buccaneers for a later week this season and hope it doesn’t come back to bite me and take the Cowboys at home against the Giants this week

Dallas is a seven-point favorite and enters this game as the only team in the NFL that is 4-0 against the spread this season. The Patriots were also an intriguing option, but I don’t know how much I believe in their offense on the road.

New York is coming off a close win over the New Orleans Saints, but the Giants have struggled defensively (22nd in the NFL) despite facing the Denver Broncos, Washington Football Team, Atlanta Falcons and Saints through the first four weeks. Not exactly teams that put on offensive clinics.

Dak Prescott and company are rolling on offense, and I don’t think the Cowboys squander a game at home after a fast start. -- Peter Dewey
