Texas vs. Arkansas Prediction and Odds for College Football Week 2
By Peter Dewey
The University of Texas is going to join the SEC at some point and it will get its first taste of SEC football this season when it takes on the Arkansas Razorbacks at 7:00 p.m. EST on Saturday on ESPN.
The No. 15 Longhorns are coming off a win against then-No. 23 Louisiana in Week 1, but they will have a tough road test against Arkansas. The Razorbacks ran for 245 yards in their 38-17 win over Rice in Week 1.
Arkansas is looking to turn things around this season after going just 7-27 over the past three seasons, and an upset over Texas would go a long way to putting the Razorbacks back in the conversation on the national stage.
Here are what the odds look like for the Week 2 matchup at WynnBET.
Texas vs. Arkansas Spread, Odds and Over/Under

Texas -6.5: -115
Arkansas +6.5: -105

- Arkansas is 1-0 against the spread this season.

Texas vs. Arkansas Prediction and Pick
As impressive as the Razorbacks were in Week 1 defensively (three interceptions) and on the ground, they did play Rice.
The Longhorns are a whole different story, and Texas dominated a solid Ragin’ Cajuns team in Week 1 behind a strong performance from Hudson Card and 103 rushing yards from Bijan Robinson.
Texas can lean on Robinson again in Week 2, as Arkansas allowed 192.1 yards per game on the ground last year.
With so much turnover on every roster from year to year, I’d rather look at this year’s results and the Longhorns beat a formidable opponent in Week 1. That shouldn’t go unnoticed. Give me Texas to cover the 6.5-point spread and introduce itself to the SEC a little early.
