I can’t stop smiling knowing that it’s football season and college fans are back to filling stadiums.

College sports just weren’t the same in 2020 when the stadiums were quiet when games were being played in front of little to not fans.

With that being said, let’s prepare for some Week 2 bets.

Some people like using statistics when they make their picks, others like using trends. Most people, like myself, enjoy using both.

Here are three wild betting trends for the Week 2 college football slate.

All odds listed are via WynnBET Sportsbook.

Washington vs. Michigan -7 | Over/Under 48.5

Michigan is 1-11 ATS in its Last 12 Games Against Pac -12 Opponents

This is a pretty significant trend, and kind of surprising when you think about it. The Wolverines are only 1-11 against the spread in their last 12 games against Pac-12 opponents and 4-8 straight up during that stretch.

The only time they covered the spread against a Pac-12 team since 1998 was when they beat Oregon State 35-7 as 13-point favorites back in 2015.

Michigan went 1-1 straight up against Washington in 2001 and 2002, but it failed to cover the spread in both games.

Michigan is a 7-point home favorite against the Huskies on Saturday.

No. 12 Oregon vs. No. 3 Ohio State -14.5 | Over/Under 64

Ohio State is 9-0 SU Against Oregon in School History

Ohio State and Oregon are set to face-off for the first time since the 2015 National Championship Game, and there’s a few notable trends to take note of.

First off, Ohio State has never lost to Oregon. It’s a perfect 9-0 against the Ducks, dating back to the first meeting in 1958. The Buckeyes covered the spread in the most recent two matchups.

Secondly, Ohio State has won 22-straight home games. The last time they lost in their own stadium as on September 9th, 2017 when they fell to Oklahoma 31-16.

Finally, much like the aforementioned Michigan vs. Pac-12 record, Ohio State has an interesting trend against the conference but for the opposite reason. The Buckeyes are 14-4 against the spread against Pac-12 opponents dating back to 1995.

Ohio State is a 14.5-point favorite against Oregon on Saturday.

Big Sky Football Conference

The Big Sky went 8-0 ATS against FBS Opponents in Week 1

Usually we like to keep these wild trends to game specific, but this one is too crazy not to mention.

The Big Sky Conference went 8-0 against the spread against FBS schools in Week 1, and three of those schools won the game outright!

Montana defeated Washington in the upset of the week, UC Davis defeated Tulsa, and Eastern Washington defeated UNLV in overtime.

Those kinds of results are unheard of.

If you want to take advantage of this trend, there’s more Big Sky vs. FBS matchups this week. Portland State takes on Washington State, Idaho plays Indiana, and Idaho State is scheduled against Nevada.
