There has been a lot of buzz surrounding Florida International defensive back Jonathan Cyprien, and the closer we get to the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft on Thursday, the more it looks like Cyprien would be a first round lock.

In our latest FanSided mock draft, we have the Cincinnati Bengals selecting Cyprien with the No. 21 pick and it looks like there is a strong possibility that it could actually happen.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Cyprien is having a private work out with the Bengals and defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer.

The Bengals are in desperate need of a safety and there is no doubt that Cyprien would be a perfect fit in Zimmer’s scheme. Cyprien is a great leader on the field and he is not afraid to lay the lumber.

Cyprien is a bit raw, but his closing speed and instincts will allow him to contribute from day one and develop in to a star in the league.

Whether or not the Bengals will actually select Cyprien at No. 21 remains to be seen, but it looks like a very likely landing spot for the draft class’ No. 2 ranked safety.
