Indiana Pacers center Roy Hibbert is in the headlines because of some unfortunate comments he made during the team’s post-game press conference following Game 6. Hibbert dropped an f-bomb and let out a homosexual slur and as a result people were calling for him to be suspended or fined. The suspension route would have been a little excessive, but the NBA did decide to fine Hibbert a whopping $75,000 for his inappropriate use of language.

Marcus Spears of Yahoo! Sports has the report:

Hibbert has already apologized for his comments, but the damage was done.

If you missed the comments by Hibbert, here is what he said:

"“Y’all mother f****** don’t watch us play throughout the year to tell you the truth,”“So that’s fine. I’m going to be real with you, and I don’t care if I get fined. We play and we’re not on TV all of the time and reporters are the ones that are voting and it is what it is. And I don’t make it, that’s fine. I’m still going to do what I have to do.”"

What do you think of the fine and the amount of money Hibbert’s words cost his? Was it fair or foul? Sound off in the comments section and share your thoughts with us.
