The Los Angeles Clippers and Orlando Magic have been discussing a trade for weeks, one that might finally come to a head this Thursday during the 2013 NBA Draft.

In the said scenario, the Clippers would send Eric Bledsoe to Orlando in exchange for Arron Afflalo and it’s something Orlando is ready to do, this according to Sheriden Hoops:

"Sources say Orlando is very interested in Eric Bledsoe and is prepared to deal Arron Afflalo to the Clippers to get him. GM Rob Hennigan has been aggressive in acquiring assets and has assembled a good core of young players."

Orlando would obviously like to get the deal done as soon as possible, but Los Angeles may want to wait. With Chris Paul reportedly unhappy with the Clippers for failing to bring in Doc Rivers, the last thing the Clippers franchise wants to do is trade away Bledsoe and have Paul leave in free agency, though, that scenario seems relatively unlikely.

So does the deal get done draft night, or soon after? Certainly Orlando would prefer that and if the Clippers feel comfortable in their ability to re-sign Paul I’d imagine the Clippers would as well.

Bledsoe will be entering the final year of his contract, a contract the Clippers will be unable to afford if they re-sign Paul.
