Yesterday Big Sean released a track that didn’t make it on his upcoming Hall of Fame album called “Control” that featured a controversial verse from Kendrick Lamar.
Here are the controversial lyrics everyone is particularly buzzing about:
“‘Bout who’s the best MC?
Kendrick, Jigga and Nas
Eminem, Andre 3000, the rest of y’all
New n****s just new n****s, don’t get involved
And I ain’t rockin no more designer sh**
White Ts and Nike Cortez, this is red Corvettes anonymous
I’m usually homeboys with the same n****s I’m rhymin’ wit
But this is hip-hop and them n****s should know what time it is
And that goes for Jermaine Cole, Big KRIT, Wale, Pusha T, Meek Millz,
A$AP Rocky, Drake, Big Sean, Jay Electron’, Tyler, Mac Miller
I got love for you all but I’m tryna murder you n****s
Tryna make sure your core fans never heard of you n****s
They dont wanna hear not one more noun or verb from you n****s
What is competition? I’m tryna raise the bar high…”
Lupe Fiasco ghost wrote rappers responses to Kendrick’s verse.
So what do other rappers think about Kendrick Lamar’s verse?
How about the Rappers from New York who were offended by this verse:
“I’m Machiavelli’s offspring, I’m the king of New York
King of the Coast, one hand, I juggle them both.”
Kendrick Lamar hasn’t tweeted yet. They talked about it on Hot 97’s “the Realness” segment:
