Pro Football Talk is reporting that the Baltimore Ravens have claimed Robert James on waivers from the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.

James is a 4th year pro from the Arizona State Sun Devils.  James has played mostly special teams in his career and figures to slot in at backup inside linebacker on the Ravens depth chart.

James has a high motor to go along with his stocky build of 5’11” and 224 pounds.

To make room for James, the Ravens parted ways with wide receiver LaQuan Williams. Williams has been struggling with a hamstring issue and is expected to receive an injury settlement from the Ravens.

Williams is a third year pro out of the University of Maryland and has had 9 tackles over the last 2 season playing primarily as a special teams player.
