There were reports yesterday that White’s undisclosed injury was a high ankle sprain. He was considered doubtful for Sunday’s season opener against the New Orleans Saints.

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White admitted he had a high ankle sprain, finally.

According to D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal Constituion:

"“Roddy White said he has an high ankle sprain. He told the Jeff Schultz twice that he had an high ankle sprain. The Falcons had repeatedly denied that he suffered a high ankle sprain since he was injured on Aug. 15 against Baltimore.”"

The Falcons had been maintaining that White’s injury wasn’t severe, a high-ankle sprain is. White played Sunday but only on 37 snaps and mainly as a decoy. He caught only 2 passes for 19 yards and probably will play the same role next weekend. You can expect him to be limited in practice this week as well.
