Although Indianapolis Colts tight end Dwayne Allen came out yesterday and suggested that his injured hip was ‘fine’, the Colts apparently don’t feel the same way.

The talented, though seemingly oft-injured Allen missed practice yet again this afternoon, making it the second consecutive practice he has had to sit out.

Allen has stated he’s seen improvement in the injury and that he’s optimistic that he’ll suit up against the Miami Dolphins this weekend, though, that may be unlikely if he’s unable to get on the field tomorrow before the Colts’ final practice of the week.

Per Stephen Holder:

"Turns out no practice for Dwayne Allen today. Still rehabbing. #Colts"

Allen was expected to practice today with the team, though, apparently still stiff the team and Allen figured it was for the best to sit out, hoping another day of rest will get him ready for tomorrow.

His status tomorrow should play a major role in if he’ll be able to take the field against the Fins.

Allen caught a touchdown in the season opener against the Oakland Raiders, though, was unable to do much else as he left with the injury early.
