All is not well between the Tennessee Titans and wide receiver Kenny Britt.

Earlier today, it was announced that the Titans coaching staff benched Britt for his continued mistakes during their Week 2 loss against the Houston Texans. That didn’t sit well with Britt, who accused the Titans organization of pulling a ‘Jared Cook‘ with him on Twitter this afternoon.

Per Britt’s Twitter:

"Looks like the Titans pullin that Jared Cook card .. Looking like this the last year ill be sayin #TitanUp .. So lets make it a Great year"

It’s been no secret that the Titans were likely going to move on from Britt at season end, though his lack of hustle and effort has made an already iffy situation even worse.

Britt’s reference to former Titans tight end Jared Cook likely suggests he’s unhappy with his role, something Cook often expressed frustration about as he was rarely used in the passing game, often times because the previous offensive coordinator would get frustrated with his mental mistakes. Unlike Cook though, Britt has been given plenty of opportunities to make plays, something Cook wasn’t given.

Cook left the Titans this past offseason for the St. Louis Rams, where he’s enjoyed hefty success through the first two weeks of the season.

As for Britt, well, the situation doesn’t look overly positive at the moment.
