After losing starting quarterback Jake Locker for 4-6 weeks, some figured the Tennessee Titans may become the landing spot for disgruntled Tampa Bay Buccaneers signal caller, Josh Freeman.

That’s not likely to be the cast, at least according to Albert Breer who says the Titans have little interest in Freeman:

"… And that’s why it seems unlikely the team would deal for Freeman. Titans likely have good info on Freeman, know where bodies are buried."

The Titans paid backup Ryan Fitzpatrick a considerable amount of money and given his ties to the front office, Freeman just isn’t a realistic option.

On the flip side, while evidently not looking for quarterback help, the Titans are shopping for assistance at the wide receiver position as they are reportedly working out Austin Collie.

"I’m told WR Austin Collie – whose concussion history seems an issue _ is working out today for the Titans."

Collie, who was released by the San Francisco 49ers during final cuts could be a solid stopgap for the ailing Kenny Britt, who may miss time with a rib injury.
