The 2-2 New York Jets travel south of the Mason-Dixon Line to take on the 1-3 Atlanta Falcons. I don’t think anyone could’ve predicted the Falcons would start the season 1-3, and they’ll be especially motivated to win this home game.

Date: October 7th
Start Time: 8:30 p.m. ET
Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Stadium: Georgia Dome
TV Info: ESPN
Live Stream: ESPN 3, WatchESPN app and NFL Game Rewind following the game

“You just don’t panic,” said wideout Roddy White, via ESPN. “You are what you earn in this league, so we’re 1-3. You just go out there and correct the problems that you have and get ready for the next game. We know at 1/3 that we can’t get back to .500 after one game.”

“Obviously, we’re not where we want to be,” said quarterback Matt Ryan. “We’ve got to claw ourselves back to where we want to be. It’s a long haul. There’s still a long way to go.”

The Falcons have been plagued with injuries though. Running back Steven Jackson has been out, receivers White and Julio Jones have been banged up.

Nevertheless, the Falcons know they should beat the Jets and will be looking to make a statement and turn their season around.
