This rivalry has grown in intensity in recent years as it has grown in relevancy. Remember when the NFC West was once referred to as the NFC Worst? That’s not the case any longer as the NFL’s west-coast division is home to some of the most talented teams in the NFC.

Not only do the players and fans hate each other, but the coaches are rivals going back to their college-coaching days where Jim Harbaugh at Stanford would face off against Pete Carroll at USC. Now there’s the excitement of watching what both Colin Kaepernick and Russell Wilson can do in the air and on the ground, plus the smack-talk only Richard Sherman can provide.

With these young players, this rivalry looks to be not only relevant, but entertaining for the unforeseeable future.
