If you were hoping for an update on Tony Gonzalez’s toe injury, you are out of luck. Atlanta Falcons head coach Mike Smith refused to comment on the situation today, simply saying that the team wouldn’t know more until Wednesday.

From the Falcons official Twitter account:

Gonzalez has missed only two games in his career, so you would have to lean towards him playing, but you cannot be certain until the full extent of his injury is announced.

This is the final year of his Hall of Fame career and it has obviously been a disappointment with the lack of success the Falcons have had.

If he is forced to miss some time, it will be another blow for what he thought was going to be a championship run.

We will update you with more information on the injury when the team makes it available on Wednesday.
