Part One: Wednesday night NBA predictions

Brooklyn @ Charlotte – The injury plagued Nets are struggling at 3-7, and the Bobcats are only a game under .500.  Brooklyn is better than their record suggests, and they will jumpstart their season at some point.  Nets win 105-97.

Washington @ Cleveland – A good win for the Wizards last night against the Timberwolves.  I love the matchup of John Wall and Kyrie Irving who put up 41 points against the Wizards in a win on Saturday.  Washington has better ball movement, and Wall may be in a groove off 16 assists against Minnesota.  Wizards win 103-100.

Indiana @ New York – The schedule is not getting easier for the 3-7 New York Knicks as they take on the 9-1 Indiana Pacers.  The two things going for the Knicks are playing at home and Indiana is coming off their first loss of the season.  Knicks win 95-91.

Miami @ Orlando – The first game of a home and home between the two teams.  Orlando will be hungry for a win against the Heat because winning in Miami on Saturday is unlikely.  Magic win 101-96.

Toronto @ Philadelphia – The 76ers are eagerly awaiting the return of Michael Carter-Williams who practiced this morning.  Philadelphia is on a three-game slide and Toronto is on a two-game slide.  If Carter-Williams comes back tonight the edge will go to Philly.  76ers win 115-105.

Detroit @ Atlanta – Josh Smith returns to Atlanta, and I hope he receives the warm reception he deserves.  Saying that, Smith will want to beat his old team, and he will be aided by Andre DrummondBrandon Jennings, and Greg Monroe.  Atlanta is a good team led by Jeff Teague and Al Horford, so it should be a great game.  Hawks win 95-94.

Portland @ Milwaukee – The Bucks have a decent defense, which should help contain Portland’s potent offense led by LaMarcus Aldridge.  However, the Buck’s are ranked 28th in offense (90.2 ppg) and the Trail Blazers are ranked sixth (104.9).  Trailblazers win 100-90.
