I highly doubt this is the season Tony Gonzalez and the Atlanta Falcons were hoping for after reaching the NFC Championship game just a year ago.

It took the team awhile, but they finally convinced the future Hall of Fame tight end to return for just one more shot. Right now I’m pretty sure he’s wishing he would have just walked away from the game like Ray Lewis and Ronde Barber did.

This team has surprisingly struggled on both sides of the ball and are looking to play for pride in these last four games of the season. They currently sit in a last place tie with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with a record of 3-9.

Last season the Falcons were one of the best teams in the league and finished the year 13-3. So far this season it’s been a complete turn around. A nightmare if you will, for the players, fans and coaches of this organization.

Gonzalez is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Green Bay Packers. He’s currently dealing with a toe problem.

Tony has 653 receiving yards and five touchdowns off 62 receptions with three games left to play in his final year as a player.
