“I can’t say it’s like a Super Bowl, but it’s pretty close,” Favre said, via theAssociated Press. “It really is.  It’s a different type of feeling, but I couldn’t be more proud of these guys.  It’s been a lot of fun.”

The game was won with a fake field goal.

“That was all the special teams’ coach,” Favre said.  “I don’t call trick plays.”

For Oak Grove, it was their first State Championship.

“It feels great, especially for the kids, for our community,” said Oak Grove coach Nevil Barr. “We really felt like our defense was as good as any defense in the state of Mississippi, and we told our kids to go out and show everyone that we were as good as anybody.”
