You probably don’t spend too much time looking at NFL referee grades, but if you did, you’d see that Jeff Triplette is among the worst in the league.

That said – he probably shouldn’t be participating in the the upcoming playoffs, right? I mean – this is the same guy who blew a late call in a game between the New York Giants and Washington Redskins earlier this season. And then did the same a few weeks later which refereeing a Cincinnati Bengals game. He’s also the head of the crew who got overly carried away with ejections during the season finale between the St. Louis Rams and Seattle Seahawks.

Needless to say, he’s had a rough year – so what better way to reward him and fans with Triplette and his crew working the AFC Wild Card playoff game between the San Diego Chargers and Cincinnati Bengals?

Thankfully, there shouldn’t be too much weather moving into the area when the Chargers and Bengals kickoff this weekend so Triplette and his crew won’t have to contend with outside forces.

Oh. It’s supposed to be in the high 20’s with potential snow? Well then.
