The Seattle Seahawks were hopeful that wide receiver Percy Harvin would be ready for their NFC Championship game against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.

However, it’s not looking good.

Harvin, who did not practice on Thursday has yet to receive medical clearance and his status for Sunday ‘doesn’t look promising’ according to Mike Garafolo:

"Source says Percy Harvin still hasn’t received clearance from doctors. Getting awfully late in the week. Doesn’t look promising."

Of course, it’s entirely possible the Seahawks are playing it close to the vest and Harvin will magically find himself cleared and ready to go for the NFC Championship.

Still – the talented receiver took some pretty nasty hits to the head during the Seahawk’s Divisional Round victory over the New Orleans Saints, so the team will understandably be extremely cautious with their star wideout.

If Harvin is unable to suit up for the big game, Golden Tate, Doug Baldwin, and Jermaine Kearse will be the top targets for Russell Wilson.
