For some players, watching a big game they wish they were playing in, is no big deal. For New England Patriots quarterback, it’s a huge deal, which is why he won’t be watching Super Bowl XLVIII.

Brady said he doesn’t have much of a rooting interest in either team (though did say he was friends with Wes Welker) and suggested watching that game would be hard.

"“I don’t have much of a rooting interest, truthfully. Those games are hard to watch,” Brady said. “I don’t see myself sitting down to enjoy a football game or watch it. Our season is over. Truthfully, I could care less about watching a game. That’s pretty much how I feel.”"

Those comments came just hours after the Patriots had lost their AFC Championship game to the Denver Broncos, so they were seemingly filled with raw emotion (and partial disgust). It’s possible he may change his tune moving forward, but what we do know is that his wife Gisele Bundchen won’t be watching as she stated last week she doesn’t watch football with Brady.

I’m sure the happy couple can find plenty of other things to do.
