The Phoenix Suns are apparently out on the Pau Gasol trade with the Los Angeles Lakers – at least for now. That has them looking at other alternatives, would could come from the Philadelphia 76ers.

The Sixers have put a handful of players like Thaddeus Young, Spencer Hawes and Evan Turner on the trade block. Young is the most expensive of the trio and will likely cost a pretty penny, but both Hawes and Turner could be had for much less.

It’s been reported the Sixers are hoping to secure a lottery pick for both, but that’s relatively unrealistic. What they could get though is a middle-to-late first round pick, something the Phoenix Suns have multiple of and according to Jabari Davis, the two sides could potentially find middle ground because of that.

"Depending upon how the Gasol situation results with Phoenix, don’t count them out of the mix for Turner/Hawes/Young as well. While I think a healthy Gasol provides more of what Phoenix could use (post option when the games slow down and intensify), if he isn’t available, then I could still see them looking to add contributors."

Gasol would obviously be the better addition, but if the Lakers asking price is too high (as has been reported), Turner or Hawes could be a solid grab if they can be had for one of the Suns first round draft picks.
